Bayport resident Jodi Baldassin is $250,000 richer after buying a winning Mega Millions ticket last month.
According to New York State Lottery officials Baldassin purchased the winning ticket at the Bata Exxon & Convenience at 3417 Route 112 in Medford.
The New York Lottery is North America's largest and most profitable Lottery, contributing close to $2.9 billion in fiscal year 2011-2012 to help support education in New York State. The Lottery's aid represents nearly 15 percent of total state education funding to local school districts.
