Bayport-Blue Point Weekend Happenings

Don't let the rain on Friday ruin your weekend. Here is a list of numerous events scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday right in Bayport and Blue Point and the surrounding area.

It's Labor Day weekend, and even with the rain, you don't have to stay at home bored. The long days of summer are almost over, so use them wisely by browsing through this list of events for Bayport-Blue Point and the surrounding area.

  • Blue Restaurant's Friday happy hour features half-priced drinks beginning at 4 p.m., with a DJ starting up at 5 p.m. On Saturday at Blue, a "Top 40" DJ sets up at 9:30 p.m. for Ladies Night.
  • Go check out what's on exhibit at the Bayport-Blue Point Library for the month of September. 
  • Interested in Tai Chi? Check out a two-hour class taking place at Shorefront Park on Saturday morning. 
  • The Market on the Green is in it's second year in Sayville, running on Saturdays (weather permitting). It is now located  in the south parking lot of the Sayville Railroad Station on Depot Street.
  • Go cheer on the Bayport-Blue Point Phantoms Varsity football team at their pre season game in Amityville on Saturday at 10 a.m. 
  • Bradstock XVII is here. Head to Long Island Maritime Museum in West Sayville on Sunday to attend this all-day music festival organized by Bayport residents. 
  • Don't forget: Registration for all programs at the Bayport-Blue Point Library begin Tuesday at 10 a.m. Unless indicated to the contrary, all programs require your library card at in-person registration. Visit the library's website for more information.
