Aug. 24: Chamber Cruise

Here's what's happening in Bayport-Blue Point on Wednesday, Aug. 24 as well as a preview of the day's Patch content.

1. This evening marks the last in a series of three Creative Writing Workshops at . Class begins at 6:30 p.m.; must register in advance.

2. Cruise the Great South Bay for $15 with Bayport-Blue Point Chamber of Commerce this evening from 7 p.m.- 10 p.m. The Delta Lady leaves from the Captree Docks.

3. Join expert in crocheting and knitting, Joan Jewhurst, at the library at 7 p.m. to participate in the Knitting and Crocheting Club. This class will help those already undertaking projects as well as beginners. Come prepared with worsted weight yarn and a pair of number 7 or 8 needles for knitters or size "h" hook for crocheters. Be sure to register before the date of the class.

4. Karaoke Night happens every Wednesday at 9 p.m. in Blue Point.
