1. from the Block Island Seafood Company returns to the library to demonstrate two summer favorites: New England Clam Chowder and Steamed Prince Edward Island Mussels, at 7 p.m. A fee of $5 is due at in-person registration.

2. Check out The People's Open Mic at the , hosted by Groney and Ryan. Music, poems and stories are all welcome, just be original.

4. Swimmers and kayak escorts entered the water for a four-mile swim from Bayport Beach to Fire Island Pines on Saturday morning in the third annual Stonewall Swim, fundraiser to benefit the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community of New York.
