April 19: Civic Association Meeting, South Shore Gold Coast Presentation

1. Bayport Civic Association meeting, 7 p.m. Bayport-Blue Point School District Board of Education President Jim March is the special guest speaker tonight, and will be discussing the 2011-'12 school budget. The BCA will also be discussing all the latest news around town, and as always they'll have refreshments and a door prize. Bring a neighbor or bring a friend to  and get involved.  

2. South Shore Gold Coast at . We always hear about the fabulous mansions lining the South Shore of Long Island. Join Nick DeNezzo as he takes an historic look back at the Gold Coast along the South Shore adjoining the Connetquot River area including Oakdale and Great River, and the millionaires who built their mansions there. All welcome. A free event.

3. Excel I class at the library, 1 p.m. This class will provide an introduction to Excel for beginning users, those able to easily work a mouse and Microsoft Word. Registration required.

5. Patch would like to extend an invitation to every member of the Bayport-Blue Point community to submit a letter to the editor. Express your thoughts or concerns about anything that might be stirring up conversation around town, and we'll post it. Make sure it's not longer than 300 words and email it to Editor Emily Portoghese at Emily@Patch.com.
