The year 2013 marks the library’s 75th anniversary and it's celebrating its history all year long.
As a nod to residents' personal history, the library invites resident to scour the home for a historic item to bring in for a free appraisal by Steven Stam, personal property appraiser and owner of the longstanding Giles Antiques in Port Washington.
The appraisal programs will be held Saturday, Feb. 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Do you have a piece of jewelry that you’ve wanted to get appraised? A specialized jewelry appraiser will also be on hand. Residents attending are limited to one non-jewelry item and one jewelry item..
