A Peek at the Pump: Gas Prices Continue to Climb
Fuel prices don't seem to be going anywhere but up.
Gas prices have jumped up rapidly in the past two weeks, and from all accounts there doesn't seem to be any change coming soon.
Late last week most local stations were still under $4 a gallon for regular, though just by pennies. By the weekend's end the majority were at the $4 point with just a few stations under the mark.
Here's a look at local gas pump prices as the week kicks off:
Lowest Regular: $3.939 at OK Petroleum, corner of Foster and Middle Road in Sayville
Lowest Plus: $4.139 at Hess, Montauk Highway, Bayport.
Lowest Premium: $4.039 at Unbranded station at 824 Montauk Highway in Bayport.
Lowest Diesel: $4.159 at Unbranded station at 806 Montauk Highway in Bayport.
