A Music-Filled Wednesday for Bayport

Wednesday, Oct. 27 mixes music, sports and business in Bayport and Blue Point.

Tuesday, students who are interested in acting, singing and dancing can audition for the Bayport-Blue Point High School musical, and adults can exercise their musical chops at Sage Cafe's Karaoke Night. Bayport-Blue Point Chamber members will dine at Cavanaugh's and discuss upcoming events and other business at the organization's monthly meeting. The Lady Phantoms swim team takes on Hauppauge this afternoon, and boys soccer tackles Elwood-John Glenn.

  • The Bayport-Blue Point Chamber of Commerce will gather at Cavanaugh's for their October general membership meeting today at noon. Members will receive a Community Expo recap, Duathlon information and plans, and discuss other business. Chamber mailing address: PO Box 201, Bayport.
  • Bayport-Blue Point High School musical auditions continue today, 2:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday in Phantoms varsity sports: girls swimming at Hauppauge High School, 495 Hoffman Lane, Hauppauge, 4 p.m.; boys soccer at Elwood-John Glenn High School, 478 Elwood Road, Edwood, 4:30 p.m.
  • Head to the Sage Cafe at 4 Montauk Highway in Blue Point for Karaoke Night beginning at 9 p.m.
