A Look Back at Sandy: One Sayville Street Took a Huge Hit

Some homes on Browns River Road never stood a chance against Sandy. But one is rising again.

When super storm Sandy hit it didn't just knock the heck out of the town beaches and marina docks.

The bay surge also hit homeowners near Foster Avenue, along Brown's River Road, extremely hard, with three shoreline homes completely ruined. Two remain shutteredd and fenced as they've been deemed uninhabitable.

One is rising from the decimation Sandy brought to the area boasting a much higher foundation to protect against future storms.

Here's a look at how things stand a year later.
