Cloudy weather overtakes the south shore as the cleanup continues.

Good morning Patch readers – here's the forecast for your Thursday post-Sandy Patch Forecast,via the National Weather Service.

Daytime

Much like the end of yesterday, clouds will be with us throughout the day and cause considerably darker conditions. No rain association with any of these this time around, but it will make the day feel a lot cooler, especially near the shoreline. Tides should be returning to near-normal by now.

Winds will be increasibly less blustery with sustained winds only around 5 to 10 mph. Look for temperatures to only reach a high of 56° around the Island and feel cooler throughout the day.

Evening

Sunset comes in around 6 p.m. again and with it, much cooler temperatures and a slight chance for rain. Winds will increase slightly to 8 to 14 mph, but remain otherwise steady and calm. Expect a low to be much cooler at around 43°
