17 Shopping Days Left: Enjoy a Shopping Crawl Through Sayville

Business advisory group event kicks off Sunday at 12 noon.

If you haven't discovered the perfect gift yet Patch wants to make sure you do and will be spotlighting ideas at local businesses every day until Dec. 25 between Blue Point and West Sayville.

Today Patch spotlights a great event taking place Sunday, December 9 in downtown Sayville between 12 noon and 5 p.m.

It's a shopping crawl sponsored by the Sayville/West Sayville Business Advisory Council.

Shoppers need to stop by the Portly Village tavern, across from CVS on Montauk Highway, to first get the special "crawl" card that provides shoppers with a free drink at the Portly Village after 12 noon (get your card stamped there). Then shoppers get the card stamped at every Sayville store they shop. If you get at least five more store stamps you can then present the card for another free drink at Bistro 25 at 5 p.m.

The cost is $5 and the proceeds go right to the Sayville Food Pantry, so not only do you get a chance to shop great local stores, and enjoy a libation before and after, you get to support a great community organization.
