Sayville High School Presents the 36th ANNUAL STUDENT-DIRECTED ONE-ACT PLAYS

May 16 & 17 at 7:00 P.M. in the Sayville High School Little Theatre.  

The Sayville Players will present their hilarious and memorable showcase at the 36th ANNUAL STUDENT-DIRECTED ONE-ACT PLAYS 

Six Sayville senior Thespians will direct 10 short skits and one acts.

  • The evening’s program will feature Emily Nowlan and Julia Cameron’s original script “That Doesn’t Happen”,
  • three short skits (“Math Class”, “Job Interview” and “Stranger Danger”) directed by senior Heather Leahy,
  •  two brief scenes (“Abbott and Costello” and “Jim’s Driving Test”) directed by senior Angela Vetere,
  • two Monty Python sketches (“Argument Clinic” and “Hungarian Phrasebook”) directed by Katya Sparwasser,
  • two television sketches (“The Girls’ Room: Prom Night” and “Disney Princesses Make Horrible Roommates”) directed by Meghan Marshall along with
  • “The Script” and
  •  “The News Broadcast” written by Jerome Norris  and
  •  a brief social commentary by playwright William Inge entitled “A Social Event”. 

Performances begin both evenings at 7:00 P.M.  Admission is free, but a $3 donation to the Sayville Players Drama Awards Fund is recommended
