LINDSAY III MOVES DISTRICT OFFICE; SAVES OVER $12,000 ANNUALLY

(Holbrook, NY)- As of April 1st Suffolk County Legislator Bill Lindsay III’s office will be located at 1609 Grundy Avenue in Holbrook, a move that will save Suffolk County over $12,000 annually. Lindsay III knew that this move would be tough, not only because his former office was a staple of Holbrook’s downtown, but also because it was in that office that his father, the late Presiding Officer William J. Lindsay spent the better half of his 12 year legislative career.

“This move just made sense to me and my staff, both on a fiscal and a personal level,” said Lindsay III. “On my first day as a legislator, I walked into my father’s office and was instantly reminded of him; I sat in the same seat as him and had meetings at the same desk. It was tough, but I know that this move will allow me to better focus on the residents of this district and the betterment of our community.”

The 1609 Grundy Avenue office will allot Lindsay III and his staff more space and a larger conference room that will be made available for community groups to use as needed. There are two parking lots, one with Main Street access and one with Grundy Avenue access, and a handicap accessible entrance on the Grundy Avenue side.

“In the past four months, since I was sworn in as a legislator, my top priority has been to cut back and save money in any way that I can,” stated Lindsay III. “With this move I was able to keep my office right near Main Street in Holbrook, gain more space for community use, and save over $12,000 annually.”
