The Islip Town Board has once again lied and ignored the taxpayers and residents of Bayport and Sayville. The silence from them is deafening in regards to them passing against our wishes, the Serota development.

Read the letter that was sent to me by a member of the Islip Town Board. He and the others gave this response back around election day 2013. Read it and tell me what you think changed their minds?

Dear Mr. and Mrs........,

I have reviewed your email in regards to the Islip Pines Project. This has been a project that I have been monitoring since I have taken office.

I am a supporter of small businesses in our downtowns. I also believe in the right of a businessman to develop his property. However, I am not in support of this project.

This project is too aggressive of a development. What upsets me the most about this project is the negative impact it would have on traffic in the area; an area that is already congested.

I appreciate your views on this matter and hope that you continue your campaign in opposition to this project.
