Wednesday in the Park, Movie Night & Programs for the Young

Something for every age is happening today.

With fingers crossed the weather will turn for the better on Wednesday so that the ever-popular Wednesdays in the Park series won't be postponed. But if the weather gods don't play along Patch offers up a few other fun things to do that don't require dry weather.

Here's a look at what's happening around town today:

Wednesdays in the Park Series:  American Dance Theater Summer Celebration of Dance - Ballet by The American Dance Theatre of Long Island • 7:00 pm at the Common Ground in Rotary Park in Sayville.

Sayville Library Programs for Little Ones: There are three great programs happening for the little ones in the family. Call ahead to check on seat availability as library programs typically require registration. 589-4440.

1:00 PM-Petra Puppets: Can You Dig It?

An Evening With Psychic Medium Jeffrey Wands:  He will be doing gallery readings as a fundraiser for National Spiritualist Association of Churches National Convention. Doors open at 6:30 for this 7pm event. Cost $40.  Limited tickets at door or Brown Paper Tickets, brownpapertickets.com or 800-838-3006.

Gunter Stern Celebrates Sondheim: Award-winning artist and bass-baritone Gunter Stern, celebrates Stephen Sondheim, the pre-eminent lyricist and composer of our day.  In his one man show, Stern performs numbers from Sondheim's favorite shows, CompanySunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods and more. Connetquot Library, 7 p.m.

Cupcake & a Movie Night: SevenMinusSeven and C+Ck Studios present a free flick showing of "Being John Malkovich" at Queen City Cupcakes locaated at  62 W Main St, Patchogue. Movie starts at 7 p.m.
