Great programs happening at local libraries today.

Now two days into Fall, today marks the day World War I officially began and there are just 98 days left in the calendar year.
It's also National Voter Registration Day, National Festival of Latest Novelties Day and also National Punctuation Day, in case you weren't aware.

On the local front, Tuesday, Sept. 24 offers more than a few fun things to do between Sayville and Blue Point.

Chef Gunter Grossmann will demonstrate how to prepare traditional foods typically served at Germany’s famous festival. You’ll enjoy a taste of delicacies such as sauerkraut and bratwurst, among others – and take home the recipes. Fee: $5 payable by check only. 

 

Get Inspired: One Small Change for a Healthier Life

Sayville Library

Learn how to incorporate one small change that can lead to healthy living, improved fitness and goal-oriented behavior for you and your family even though you are on a tight budget, have no time and are stressed out. Certified health & fitness coach and working mom Kiersten Bartolotta will demonstrate how to shift priorities, move towards healthier living and not become overwhelmed with change with information on getting started as well as maintaining a healthier diet, fitness schedule and lifestyle.
