Catch Up on News, Reptile Guru Coming to Town

Who said life in surburbia is ever dull.

While summer may be winding down, news and activities between West Sayville and Blue Point certainly aren't slowing. Just in case you missed a few days at Patch (which we'll forgive if you promise not to repeat) here's a quick guide to hot news and events you don't want to miss in the next few days.

The last Family Fun night of the summer takes place at The Common Ground/Rotary Park in Sayville starting at 7 p.m. It's the perennial favorite of the young set (but not likely of the moms): Erik and His Reptile Edventures.

Did you catch how one romantic guy proposed to the love of his life this week? For those local guys considering proposing you might want to wait a bit because it's hard to top this.

Stop eating alot right now so that you'll have plenty of room for seafood as the biggest seafood festival on the south shore takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Marine Museum in West Sayville. Parking's not easy but then again a long walk after a long day of eating isn't a bad thing.

Find out today on Patch about a very nice new park setting where you can enjoy coffee, or lunch or just a book (and getting a book is very easy from this park location).

Also coming up on Patch Thursday are some beautiful photographs of a lunar experienced shared by a Patch reader.
