Police: Sayville Man Arrested For Two Armed Robberies

Police say 21-year-old James Schenck robbed a Sayville liquor store and an Oakdale 7-Eleven over the past week.

A Sayville man was arrested Tuesday evening on charges of robbing two stores over the past week, police said. 

James Schenck, 21, displayed what appeared to be a gun while robbing Michael’s Wines and Liquors on Main Street in Sayville last Friday afternoon and a 7-Eleven on Montauk Highway in Oakdale early Tuesday morning, police said. 

In both robberies, Schenck demanded cash from store employees, who complied with his request, police said.

Schneck was arrested around 5 p.m. Tuesday on Main Street in Sayville following an investigation, police said.

Schneck is charged with with two counts of first degree robbery. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
