Bayport Couple to Hold Hospice Care Network Fundraiser at their Home
Dr. Philip and Ingke Linker of Bayport offered their home for Hospice Care Network's Annual Outdoor Cocktail Party.
Hospice Care Network's (HCN) Annual Outdoor Cocktail Party is set to take place on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the home of Dr. Philip and Ingke Linker, 74 Oak Road, Bayport. The couple offered up their home for the event, said HCN's Director of Special Events Chris Court.
Court referred to the Linkers as "community supporters" of HCN, which is a not-for-profit hospice organization that has served patients and families in Nassau, Suffolk and Queens counties since 1988.
At this year's party, HCN will honor Ned Baker, owner of the SouthSide Hotel in Bay Shore. Baker is a Bay Shore resident who experienced the work of HCN with his own family.
Food for the event will be catered by the Irish Coffee Pub of East Islip and Zegel Clam of Bay Shore, said Court.
The event will not only raise awareness of HCN's programs and services, but it will also raise money," Court said, "The beautiful water view property will definitely contribute to the success of the party."
